Audit Firm “De Visu” held external seminar for it's clients

In the beginning of September in Zatoka town (Odessa region) by “De Visu” specialists was organized and held seminar on the issues of procurement procedures, restating of financial statements in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), as well as for tax accounting and accounting

In the event taken part firm's clients – chief accountants, finance departments’ executives and economists.

On the first day of the seminar were reviewed the practical aspects of the implementation of procurement procedures in accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Public Procurement”. The reports delivered by the experts of the audit firm “De Visu” and representatives of the State Financial Inspection in Odessa region. Speakers paid attention to the areas of application of the law “On Public Procurement", “On peculiarities of the procurement in separate spheres of economic activity” and other laws and regulations which govern this procedure.

In detail were also discussed the definition specifics of the procurement of goods, works and services, the mechanism of disclosure of information on purchase on the website of “Public Procurement” and in “Public Procurement Bulletin”. As debating points were the issues of qualification criteria to participant in a bidding process and refusal to participate in the procurement procedure. However, all participants received the comprehensive and qualified answers.

None the worse interesting was the theme of the application of IFRS in Ukraine

The second day of the external seminar was devoted to it. Lecturers stopped briefly at the history of IFRS and provided the necessary information to understanding their nature and essence. Then was discussed structure of financial statements prepared according to the international standards. This part of the report included the active practical activity of participants.

Activity was continued by consideration of the specifics of restating of financial reporting. There was provided useful information on its particular stages, principles and results. Chief accountants were interested by which specific requirements and standards to conform making the first statements by international standards. This issue was devoted proper attention to avoid the potential problem situations. On the concrete examples were demonstrated differences in accounting and disclosure of elements of financial statements.

The third day was remembered by discussing of taxation specifics in 2013

It was about a new financial and tax reporting, profits, VAT, personal income tax, single social contribution etc. In particular, was analyzed the basic operations and typical errors in VAT taxation, features of the tax credit use, tax invoices and declarations filling and more other. Attention was given to modern tendencies for enterprise profits taxation in the context of international standards, of tax differences, dual-purpose costs. Were concerned also features of seniority pension definition under the new rules, the reimbursement of business trip expenses, compensation to employees when moving to another location and many other issues.
