It is expected that Representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, the National Securities Commission, the World Bank, the Investment Promotion and Acquisition Office UkraineInvest, as well as IFRS experts, audit practitioners, tax advisers, accountants of companies that have already transited to International Financial Reporting Standards, etc. will participate the event.
It is planned during the conference to focus on core legislative changes regarding the application of International Financial Reporting Standards, practical steps and recommendations for transition to IFRS as well as risks that accompany the transformation period.
In addition, typical failures in the transition to IFRS and ways to avoid them will be considered. The tax aspect of the transition will be also discussed. As it is known, at present, the accrual of corporate income tax is based on the accounting financial result, which is formed in accordance with the requirements of IFRS. Therefore, incorrect accounting of IFRS may lead to errors in the calculation of tax liabilities and, as a result, significant penalties for violating tax laws. Representatives of official bodies and experts during the event will tell how to avoid such situations.
This is hardly an exhaustive list of issues that will be considered at the conference. All aspects of the introduction of IFRS from the standpoint of regulators, practitioners and even international institutions are planned to be highlighted and discussed.
