16th of September 2013 in the conference hall of The Kiev Chamber of Commerce and Industry took place the Ukrainian and Slovenian business forum
Especially for event arrived delegation of entrepreneurs from Republic of Slovenia, interested in establishing cooperation with domestic business.
Forum officially was opened by Mykola Zasulskyy, Vice-President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He emphasized the importance for Ukrainian businesses of international partnerships.
Speech, presented by Natasha Prah, Head of Republic of Slovenia in Ukraine Mission, was dedicated to increase of trade turnover volume between Ukraine and Slovenia in recent years and the priority areas of Republic of Slovenia's economic activity.
The floor also was given to Serhiy Svistel’, Vice-President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Oleksandra Blavdzevych, ULIE (Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs) Vice-President, Samo Hribar Milich, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Republic of Slovenia, who presented members of the Slovenian delegation.
For participants of the forum by the Slovenian Investment Agency was presented Slovenia's economic potential
On the present day country represents in the domestic and foreign markets the variety of innovative products which are in great demand. These are ultra-light civil aircraft Pipistrel, sailboats Seaway and household appliances Gorenje. Slovenia might also be proud of good results in the field of information technology, pharmaceutical, chemical, automotive and food industries. There also developed metallurgy. Tourism become increasingly important.
Kyiv also demonstrated their investment projects. In particular, attention was paid to the opening of the fourth line of the Kyiv subway and improvement of transport infrastructure.
Official part of Forum was ended with the general debate and individual negotiations holding between Ukrainian and Slovenian companies
