Strong business is the foundation of economics. Unfortunately, local entrepreneurs have to be patient, resourceful and optimistic to continue begun business in the context of today’s situation
The participants of Entrepreneurs Forum, held in Kiev, had the opportunity to meet Government officials, to communicate with colleagues, as well as understand future prospects for the business. The businessmen from all regions of Ukraine, including hotspots, gathered together in the capital.
The business meeting of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs with executive representatives has been provided by the format of the event during which ministers and heads of departments reported the results of their activity and business owners announced the issues that blocked today the stable development of their enterprises.
Igor Bilous the First Deputy Minister of Revenue and Duties emphasized: "The business environment is a guarantee of stability and economic development of the state and only due to joint efforts we could overcome the crisis we see". The head of the tax service reported that the main task for today was the stabilization of tax revenues. The Ministry of Revenue and Duties was opened for constructive dialogue, legislative and systematic changes, the main goal of which was the entrepreneurial development and pumping up the state budget
During the meeting, entrepreneurs have been interested in issues of lustration, economic amnesty, prosecution of corrupt officials, simplification of permit system, reduction of number regulatory and law enforcement authorities’ inspections etc.
The suggestions about reformation of the customs system of Ukraine have been expressed by Ukrainian business elite representatives
According to Vitaly Naumenko the Deputy Minister of Revenues and Duties, for the first time the entrepreneurs will be involved in the development of strategic documents that regulate the Customs, they will participate in establishing the concept of reforms through the Advisory and Supervisory Board, development of an action plan for its implementation and provide business feedback concerning its response to reforms.
Forum Participants have got acquainted with excerpts of legislation on the rights of citizens in the fight against corruption and abuse of power, agreement of conditions unshadowing of small and medium businesses, a moratorium on penalties for new taxpayers, officials and officers liabilities.
Many issues have been given to personnel matters. Over the event, the participants could fill in a special form and choose the officials who should be dismiss as well as those whom they recommended to invite to work in government agencies. The documents will be processed by the Committee for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship and transferred to the Government and the Lustration committee. In general executive service representatives believe in a young intellectual potential of Ukraine and will do everything depending on them to join the best experts from the business to the Civil Service and to help stabilize the economic situation in country as soon as possible.
