With the spread of the coronavirus around the world, business requires a radical transformation and change in the usual approaches to conducting business and communicating with customers. How can companies build relationships with their clients so that the temporary crisis becomes the beginning of a new stage of development?
Client is the most important thing
In times of crisis, relationships with clients become paramount to businesses. Many believe that it is enough to know the information about the consumers of their services, to understand what they want, and to offer it in time. But this is not enough to make a customer loyal. Namely, the client’s loyalty during the crisis determines the success of the audit business.
There are five elements that affect a company's relationship with its customers: brand, communications, environment (contact points with client), supply, and the culture of the people who interact with the customer.
The first thing a customer draws attention to is brand and communications. At this stage, he/she forms an opinion about the company, determines the feasibility of deciding to work with the company or not. Therefore, it is very important to build closer relationships with service consumers. For starters, there must be a reason why the customer should use your services. Second, trust and security must be ensured. Third, show the customer that he or she is an important part of your business. Finally, your services must give some status to the owner, he/she must receive a benefit from using your service. And last thing – the cooperation must be fruitful for client.
Don't sell, show support to your partners and clients
Appreciate your existing clients. Instead of making efforts to attract new customers, you should focus on caring for your existing customers. At the moment, the most important question for every audit company is not “How can we get more projects for a higher price?” But “How can the company support loyal clients at this time?”. Focusing solely on profit in the current situation will not benefit your brand. In fact, it may work against it.
Focus on multi-channel communication
If your business is experiencing certain quarantine constraints and service delays, it is imperative that you inform your customers. By reporting the foreseeable risk, you can reduce your anxiety and not give yourself a reason to look for an alternative.
To get in touch with your customers and respond to their questions or complaints in a timely manner, use multi-channel communication to engage with them – site, social networks, push messages, email, messengers. This approach will bring your business closer to your clients.
Provide support
Support social projects that help overcome the crisis. Quarantine will end, and your company will remain in the memory of people as the one that did not leave them at a difficult time.
