Kharlamova
Kharkiv National Academy of Municipal Economy
She started her career as economist of Main Department for Planning and Accounting of Kharkiv City Executive Committee. Having aspiration to engage in academic work she became a postgraduate student of Kharkiv National Academy of Municipal Economy and continued her scientist’s job in Kharkiv National University of Municipal Economy, moving from assistant to professor. In 2009 defended a PhD thesis and in 2016 a doctorate thesis on finance accounting according to IFRS. Since 2016 she has been working as senior research associate of Department of Accounting Methodology of Academy of Financial Management of the Ministry of Finance.
While proceeding with her academic work she began to implement her knowledge into practice. Since 1997 she has been working in advisory and since 2000 she has been actively studying International Financial Reporting Standards. In 2009 received her first diploma in IFRS (ACCA DipIFR) and since that has been enriching her knowledge in this field. In 2012 she started auditing practice.
She was elected as vice-president of Ukrainian Federation of Professional Accountants and Auditors and also was a member of the Auditorsꞌ Chamber of Ukraine.
Today Olena Kharlamova is partner of “De Visu” Group responsible for advisory, accounting and IFRS expertise and Academy of professional development.
She is conducting extensive activities as business coach. Taking all efforts to ensure development of IFRS in Ukraine she heads organizing committee of open international scientific and practical conference: “IFRS: research, science, practice, implementation”.
She holds positions of Vice-president of the Chamber of Auditors and Accountants of Ukraine and Rector of International Academy for Certification of Accountants and Auditors.
